10 Things I'm Excited For This November.

I feel confident in saying that the last two months have been difficult. In September, I realised I needed to take a year-long break from university to focus on my health. This was a hard decision to make. I started feeling healthier and more sure of myself in October, but I was hit by the death of my grandpa. All this has left me feeling sad and I have spent a lot of time in bed eating granola. However, bed is kind of boring now; I want to feel more positive and get excited about life again.

Now, we all know that November is officially The Most Boring Month. It's cold, it's rainy and Christmas feels so far away.

  1. Bonfire Night - I don't usually venture outside for bonfire night because there are so many people, but this year I'm going to wrap up warm and head out to see a firework show with my mum. I might even make some roasted chestnuts, who knows?! Any excuse to get out on a work night.
  2. My Reading Challenge - Inspired by Bee over at Vivatramp, I have set myself a little reading challenge to try and encourage myself to read more fiction. While at university I pretty much only read set texts but I want to get back to discovering new fiction books, especially as reading is so good for my mental wellbeing. Let me know if you want me to share my challenge, or if you have made your own.
  3. Socialising - Anxiety, exhaustion and wanting to stay close to my family mean that, apart from going to work, I haven't left the house all that much recently, but I have some social commitments coming up that I am determined to make. As well as seeing friends, they are the perfect opportunity to dress up, try out new make up looks and do something that isn't watching Netflix.
  4. Great TV - But speaking of Netflix... Both Geordie Shore (I know, I know) and Brooklyn Nine Nine have new episodes coming out at the moment and these are two of my FAVOURITE shows. Nights out are great, but nights in are warm.
  5. New Month, New Start - Going in to October, I was feeling disorganised, lonely and stressed about getting a job. Now I have started using a weekly planner again, I have a new job and I am slowly getting better at reaching out to the people around me and G-d it feels good. 10/10 would recommend.
How are you making The Most Boring Month less shit? Let me know, I need inspiration!
